Levi Holton a multi-media, visual artist and storyteller, using primarily film and performance to address themes considering the transgender/ trans-masculine identity. He has an interest in exploring the human form and personal relationships between mind and body. His work largely uses symbolism through the positioning and presence of the body to explore social or perceived identity, with abstract visuals being used as a representation of internal worlds, identity and self-mythologies. The aim of Holton’s work is to present the AFAB body and mind as a self-owned tool which can be used to open conversation into issues and questions surrounding gender, the possession of body and identity.
